Sudent has knowledge of the biochemistry and physiology necessary to understand the processes occurring in plants and in contact with harmful organisms , has knowledge of genetics and molecular biology , on the resistance of plants and their reaction to pests . Obtains information from literature , interpret them and draw conclusions , knows how to formulate and justify their own opinions on the defense mechanisms occurring in plants. knows how to plan and take preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of pests
Competences:
Understands the need for learning and lifelong training on issues related to the protection of plants, understands the importance of prevention in social action for the maintenance of the health status of the plant.Prerequisites:

Specific and non-specific biochemical reactions occurring plants in contact with pests . Genetic and biochemical mechanisms of regulation. And repression of gene expression . Types of immunity. Passive resistance , active , congenital and acquired. Resistive substances and their role in pathogenesis. The induction of systemic acquired resistance and induced systemic resistance .Recommended literature:
