Student has theoretical knowledge of requirements and technology of cultivation of individual species of energy crop.
Student gets to know the rules of protection of agricultural environment.
Student knows the rules of agricultural management, understands the relation and the meaning as well as the specificity of cultivation and protection of separate species of energy crops. Student can work out the rules of crop cultivation for different use purposes (biogas, combustion, biofuels). Student assesses plant status under changeable soil conditions and is able to prevent their negative results. Student designs the methods of crop cultivation and protection. Competences:
Student understands phenomena between soil factors, crop and environment. Student organizes and conduct studies in team. Student appreciates the need for self-improvement and the necessity of trainings. Student assesses and explains the impact of varying tillage on quality and quantity of yields. Student obeys rules of industrial safety during tillage. Student is responsible for equipment Prerequisites:
Botany, physics, chemistry, selected elements of environmental protection Course content:
The entire knowledge of development of energy crop production in Poland and in the world. Basic data about methods and production in Poland and in the world and predictions for the future. Basic terminology in energy crop production and its technology, specific features, conditioning and meaning. Recommended literature:
