Knowledge:
he has basic knowledge in the design of systems and devices for disposal or recycling,
has an elementary knowledge of the dangers of the environment and the protection of the global society,
has a general knowledge of systems, technologies, techniques, equipment and tools used for recycling.
Skills:
he is able to solve problems using standard engineering activities and operational production problems in the field of waste disposal and recycling, while taking account of the requirements associated with care for the environment,
is able to make a preliminary analysis of the economic viability of recycling activities

he is aware of the importance, responsibility and consequences of a waste management engineer in terms of responsibility for the quality of life for people and the environment,

Physics, technical mechanics, thermodynamics, design engineering, waste management, fundamentals of business, management and logisticsCourse content:
Ways of dealing with municipal and industrial waste, segregation. Recycling and reuse of waste. Separate collection. Utilization techniques and technologies of selected fractions of municipal waste. Energetic use of waste. Methods of disposal of waste from selected industries. Ecological and technical conditions of the natural use of sewage sludge in Poland. Disposal of hazardous and especially dangerous. Environmental conditions of waste treatment. Best available techniques for waste management.Recommended literature:

Assessment methods:
Assessment of education effects in terms of knowledge: credit of written exam, credit of all tutorials.
Assessment of education effects in terms of skills: results analysis and interpretation of collected data.
Assessment of education effects in terms of social competences: individual work, group wrok, ecological consciousness, copyrights respect, responsibility for entrusted task, conscientiousness in the preparations for task realization.
