Learning outcomes: Students understand basic mechanisms, rules and tasks of classical, molecular genetics as well as cytogenetic, immunogenetic and genetic alternation, defects and diseases of genetic origin.
Competences: After the course students are able to explain genetic alternations and diagnose animal diseases that are of a genetic origin.
Prerequisites: Chemistry, Cell biology, Biochemistry.
Course content: Basics of general and molecular genetics, introduction to population and quantitative genetic features. Animals diseases of genetic origin.
