Learning outcomes: Student possesses a practical knowledge about organization of environmental protection and environmental management in the local scale (at the level of community) in Poland. They are able to indicate the most important environmental problems linked to agricultural production.
Competences: Student is able to analyze the complex problems of environmental protection in the local scale and to indicate the main hazards, their sources, and general measures necessary to improve the quality of environment.
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of environmental science, Fundamentals of agricultural production
Course content: The training should be carried out in local offices of environmental protection in community councils (first part), and in the agricultural farms (the second part). Issues to be analysed: the quality of environment in the local scale, natural conditions, the sources of environmental risk and the measures to reduce the risk . Environmental hazards and the rules of environmental protection within the agricultural farm.

Assessment methods: Written and oral report. Minimum for passing: 60 percent
