Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - knows the research objectives and methodology of ergonomics; knows functional determinants of system: man-machine and human - environment [KB2_W06_BC]; W2 - defines the basic factors of work environment and their impact on the human body [KB2_W06], [KB2_W06_BC]; W3 - knows the potential health effects caused by chemical, biological and physical factors at work [KB2_W03_BC], [KB2_W06_BC]; W4 - understands the biological and environmental causes of tiredness [KB2_W06], [KB2_W03_BC], [KB2_W06_BC]. Skills: Student: U1 - interprets results of measurements of the physical working environment to its optimization [KB2_U02], [KB2_U04_BC]; U2 - uses the basic diagnostic techniques to assess the level of occupational risk and biological work load [KB2_U04_BC].
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 - is aware of the risks in incorrectly designed environment of work [KB2_K04]; K2 - correctly forms his place of work [KB2_K07].
Prerequisites: human anatomy, human physiology
Course content: definition of ergonomics and occupational safety, conditions for the operation of the system man-machine; physical, chemical and biological factors of work environment, anthropometry as an ergonomic system of reference; ergonomics issues of perception of signals in the process of labor, occupational health of mental and physical work.

Assessment methods: Two written tests to evaluate. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. In the case of unjustified absences the student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Attested credit of tutorials based on the average ratings. lecture written exam - valid written test (40 closed questions). Assessment takes 80 minutes.
