Learning outcomes: After completing the course student knows the interconnection project in the field of land reclamation and environmental protection, basic objectives, functions and tasks of comprehensive development of rural areas, knows the methods and devices for the management of storm waters in the rural areas.
Competences: After the completing the course student is prepared to work in teams involved in the development of local studies of conditions and directors of spatial management in the frame of local water management.
Prerequisites: Ecology and Environmental Management
Course content: Land reclamation and environmental protection. Importance of rural areas, comprehensive development of land. State of the environment in the rural areas and land reclamation in Poland. Forms and types of retention. Classification of irrigation. Objectives of the regulation of rivers. Reclamation of urban areas. Traditional and modern methods of management of storm water.
Recommended literature:
Assessment methods: Compulsory credit classes performed in groups of 4-6 persons –(presentation and defense of elaboration), written exam, final mark 50% classes and 50% exam.
