Learning outcomes: Student acquire theoretical knowledge about the environmental factors influencing forest habitats and knowledge of breeding and using the forest. Indicates the methods of afforestation and renewals. Specifies the work of care and protective carried out during the growth and development of trees. Distinguishes between technology removals and logging. Know the new technologies used in the forestry. The student acquires the practical application of the information read from agricultural soil maps or cadastral maps for planning purposes. Identifies the main species of trees and shrubs. Uses the terminology used in the forest industry .Proposes the selection of technologies and technical means to work in a different field conditions .
Competences: The student is aware of the proceedings in a professional identifies and solves problems related to the forestry production.

Course content: The concept of the forest environment. Characteristics of forests in Poland. Characteristics of forest habitat types. Forest seed growing. Production of tree seedlings. Renewal and afforestation. Treatments for woody crops and greenwoods. Technologies of removals and transports of wood.
