Knowledge:
student has a general knowledge on different forms of laboratory animals behaviour; student knows basic law and ethics aspects connected with investigation using animals; student has a knowledge on investigative methods used in laboratories with laboratory animals.
Skills:
student evaluates observed animals’ reactions and interprets them; student uses scientific literature and other sources of information.
Competences:
Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors):
student understands the necessity of knowledge update on different biology branches.

Characterization of laboratory animals species; their biology. Physiological basis of animals’ behaviour (especially learning). Different forms of laboratory animals behaviour. Animal welfare; law aspects of animals use in laboratories.Recommended literature:
