Knowledge: Student gains a general knowledge on the field of botany. He learns about the morphological and anatomical construction of plant organs (root, stem, leaf, flower and fruit). He has knowledge concerning the taxonomy of selected groups of plants. He has knowledge about the exploitation, risks and protection of plant organisms in Poland, as well as their significance as an important element of the natural environment. Student has knowledge of the distribution and habitat requirements of selected groups of plants.
Skills: Student has the ability to search information concerning botany, he can use the key to the identification of plant species. He uses the specialized terminology applied in botany.
Student is able to perform simple research projects and make analysis of plant material using microscopy techniques . He can use the binocular and microscope and performs simple microscopic preparations. He applies the basic techniques used in biological researches.
Competences:
Student understands the necessity of education and improvements his professional and social competence.
He feels responsibility for entrusted him research equipment.
