PolishLearning outcomes:
Learning outcomes: Understanding of different agricultural systems and the principles of individual farming systems, with particular emphasis on integrated farming and precise fertilization and organic farming. Associated economic opportunities arising from the pursuit of agriculture in a particular system.
Skills: Ability to select the appropriate nutrient management practices in different farming systems. Ability to determine the impact of selected environmental management systems.
Competences:
Understanding of the need for a scientific basis for the selection of methods of production. Assessment of the threat of conventional farming to the environment and the need to develop environmentally safer technologies. Recognition for the need for self-improvement and the need for further training.Prerequisites:
Knowledge gained from an agricultural degree.Course content:
Farming systems. Precision Agriculture. Analysis of spatial precision fertilization in plant production, chemical methods to determine soil fertility, nutrient abundance and fertilization mapping application, the precise effect of fertilization on the quantity and quality of crops, the practical use of devices to precisely estimate requirements for fertilization.Recommended literature:
