Basic knowledgeassociated with microcomputer hardware support. Basic knowledge of breeding and rearing of pigs.Course content:
The lawand procedure at startup of pig nucleus breeding farms in Poland. Organization and management of pigs breeding farm using computer software AnaPig. Preparing the documentation in nucleus herds. Keeping electronic "Book registration of animals" and marking of pigs according to Animal Identification and Registration System. Marking of breeding pigs - corresponding to the electronic encoding of information in the POLSUS system. Performance test of fattening and slaughter of breeding youth, the license boars, qualification of crossbreed boars, the qualification of purebred and crossbreed gilts. Analysis of useful indicators of the pigs nucleus herd. Selection of pigs and repair of herd.Recommended literature:

Assessmentof progress in learning and activities on the basis of three written tests (consist of 20 test questions from exercises and lectures - duration of test 45 minutes) - verification of knowledge (W1 and W2) and skills (U1 I U2) and oral answers during exercises is the competence (K1) verification.
Presence onthe exercises is mandatory; student can only have one unexcused absence. When absence is excused, student is required to pass the appropriate part of the material.
Assessment of exercises isbased on average grade. The rating scale and the percentage of good answers: 3.0 - 55%; 3.5 - 65%; 4 - 70%, 4.5 - 85%, 5.0 - 90%.
Passing the course on the basis of exercise pass. The prerequisites to obtain an average of 3,0 in all established learning outcomes.Comment:
