Knowledge:
1) student has a general knowledge about nature of microeconomics;
2) knows the basic laws and relationships ruling market economy;
3) has knowledge about the different types of entities in a market economy and relationships between them.
Skills:
1) The student can perform a simple analysis of costs, revenues and profits or losses in the company;
2) is able to characterize the main operators and point out their functions in a market economy;
3) is able to present the causes and effects of changes in market equilibrium;
4) uses knowledge to solve problems of an economic nature in the workplace;
5) correctly uses the selected economic laws and economic analysis to solve the financial problems arising in enterprises.
Competences:
1) student thinks and acts in an entrepreneurial manner;
2) student complements and improves the acquired knowledge and skills;
3) student is able to determine the priorities for implementing the objectives of economic households and businesses.
Prerequisites:
Basic of MathematicsCourse content:
Positive and normative economy; definition of microeconomics; process of resource management; market economy; demand and supply and their determinants; basic economic rights; market equilibrium – static and dynamic models; theory of consumer behaviour; costs, incomes and profits; optimum of enterprise’s production.Recommended literature:
