Learning outcomes: Student has a basic knowledge of chemistry. Student has a basic knowledge about the chemical rules of natural phenomena. Student has a basic knowledge of chemical phenomena occur in natural environment. Student is able to use the specialist chemical terminology. Student is able to carry out experiments, formulate the observations and conclusions.
Competences: Student is able to listen the instructor’s clues. Also he can effective work in team.
Prerequisites:
Course content: Basic definitions and chemical rules. Periodic table of elements. Classification of inorganic compounds. Amphoterism. Structures of compounds. Chemical bonds. Reactions in aqueous solutions. Redox reactions. Concentrations (molarities and percentage concentration). Stoichiometry. Ionic product of water. pH. Hall-cell and battery. Solubility product. Electrochemistry and corrosion.
