Knowledge: Student - W1 -possesses the general knowledgeon biology and functionsof fancy and decorative birds
W2 - knows the anatomy, physiology and external appearance of fancy and decorative birds
W3 - knows the roles and methods of fancy and decorative bird feeding

animal physiology, animal anatomy, genetics, animal reproduction, poultry management.Course content:
The importance of amateur keeping of fancy and decorative birds in Poland; basic species and breeds of decorative birds used in Poland; the rules of decorative and fancy birds husbandry; the reproduction of fancy and decorative birds, buildings and their equipment, yards; the rules of fancy decorative birds.Recommended literature:

Knowledge: W1, W2, W3, W4 is assessed on the last exercise(tutorials and lectures), in writing (essay questions and problems). Student responds to six questions (three from tutorials and lectures), each question is assessed (scale 2-5). Required is response 60% to positive credit (grade satisfactory).
Skills: the studentcan independently assess the external appearanceof birds various races/species in accordancewith the pattern of the Polish Association Pigeons Club and Petty Inventory (U1- verification on practical exercises "Evaluation of the external appearanceof selectedfancy and decorative chicken breeds”).
Competences: studentis aware of the risks of maintaining the species of birds considered as dangerous to humans and native fauna (K1). Understands the need for further education due to different environmental requirements and specifics of maintaining various species of fancy and decorative birds(K2) Competence K1 and K2 will be verified by student responses during theassessment of the course.
Completion of the course: The prerequisiteis to obtain a 3.0 grade point average. In case of the lack of passing the student has the opportunity to improve oral.Comment:
