Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student has knowledge: of economics systems and in particular the free market economy. has general knowledge of management at a microeconomics level. about the functioning of markets and especially the market competition, of the role of the state in the economy and macroeconomic policy, of the relations of the national economy into the world economy. Skills: The student: recognizes the basic economy problems at micro and macro levels, can explain with the help of mainstream economic theory economic important facts, is able to analyze and interpret economic information, can analyze the markets, the national and world economy, sees the fundamental economic trends and social consequences

Competences: Social competences: The student understands and accepts the key objectives and rules of conduct in a market economy. values such social values like: entrepreneurship, creative, innovation and collaboration. is prepared to actively participate in the group with projects in the socio-economic benefits.

Course content: Economics as a science subject and method. Basic economic problems. Management. Opportunity cost. Pareto Optimum. Characteristic of the market economy. Types of markets. Rights markets. Market equilibrium. Price demand elasticity. Supply elasticity. The production function in the short and long term. Costs of production. Technical optimum production. Models of markets competition. Monopoly. Monopolistic competition. Markets of factor of production. Market failure. Function of the state in the economy. Measures of economic welfare. Money and the Banking System. The business cycle. Inflation. Unemployment. The state budget. Exchange rate. Balance of payments.
