Conditions of milk production in Poland and worldwide; trends in animal production development; breeding and husbandry of particular farm animal species; specificity of husbandry and maintenance of various technological groups of farm animals; influence of production intensification on quality of food produced; results of production intensification and large-scale breeding on the environment, health, and performance of animals; practices with animals, project work, laboratory work and rules of some animal products assessment.Recommended literature:

Assessment methods:
Knowledge:
The course ends up with a graded assignment of lectures.
The graded assignment of tutorials is based on the mean of
degrees on the particular parts: feeding, particular species of farm animals. After each part there is a test,
retake is in the verbal form.
Skills: The evaluation and interpretation as well as practical usage of collected data. The right connection of type, sort and parameters of farm, feeding base and feeding system, making a good choice of breed, maintenance system as well as welfare, production efficiency. Identification of basic fodders in animal feeding.
Competences: The evaluation of correctness in usage of welfare principles, respect to copyrights law and the correct interpretation in a field of environment saving.
