Knowledge:
Student has knowledge in range of chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology, necessary for understanding processes of biological, mechanical, and thermal conversion of waste into fuels: R1 OŹE _W03; R1A_W01;
Student has knowledge in range of biofuels, and waste reuse processes, including municipal waste, industrial, waste, agricultural waste, and animal waste: R1 OŹE _W04, R1A_W03, R1A_W04;
Student has general knowledge covering systems, technologies, techniques, devices, and tools used for fuels production from waste: R1 OŹE _W11, R1A_W05, InzA_W05
Skills:
Student can extract information data from literature review, data bases, and other sources; can integrate gathered information, may do the theirs interpretations, summaries, and put an opinions with justification: R1OZE_U01, R1A_U01, R1A_U03, InzA_U01
Student can do the identification, and characterizes the specificity of simple engineering tasks, prepares a technical documentation concerning engineering task execution, and prepares the report containing the description of results from task execution: R1OŹE _U03, R1A_U04, InzA_U06
Student can use basic informatics technologies for extracting, and processing of information concerning production of fuels from waste: R1OŹE _U04, R1A_U03
Student can prepare, and perform a short presentation concerning a results of executed engineering task, which relays on proper design of devices, and resources for construction of particular technology of fuels production from waste: R1OŹE _U05, R1A_U09
Student has skills of self-teaching for increasing the professional competences: R1OŹE _U08
Student can solve engineering, and operation problems of fuels production from waste by using standards engineering procedures, including environmental requirements: R1OŹE _U11, R1A_U05, R1A_U06, InzA_U03, InzA_U08

Prerequisites:
Knowledge in the field of: microorganisms development, and life cycle, factors affecting the ration of biochemical processes, physical, chemical, and biological waste properties, waste classification, waste processing classification, possibilities of waste recycling achievement.Course content:
The definitions, and kinds of fuels, definitions of waste processing methods, waste properties in relations to fuel production, technologies and processes of gaseous fuels production from waste: fermentation, pyrolysis, gasification, gas fuels treatment, technologies and processes of liquid fuels production from waste: pyrolysis, technologies and processes of solid fuels production from waste: pyrolysis, torrefaction, mechanical treatment, fuels: SRF, RDF, market of fuels from waste.
