Knowledge
knows basic methods of sampling, graphical presentation of data, brief numerical data describing , knows basic notions of probability, knows basic distribution functions, knows basic methods of drawing more general conclusions using an appropriate tests and estimation, knows basic methods of constructing control charts in industrial quality control.
Skills
is able to make a simple sampling, present obtained data, calculate basic data characteristics, formulate general conclusions using basic tests and estimation methods, construct basic control charts in industrial quality control.

Mathematics. Course content:
Basic concepts of describing statistics, sampling methods, data presentation, basic exploratory data analysis, basic notions of probability, random variable, basic distribution functions,
basic concepts of point estimation and confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear regression and correlation analysis, control charts in industrial quality control.
