Knowledge:
A student knows the morphological structure of plants and has the knowledge related to the modification of plant organs. He/ She is also knowledgeable about various adaptations to habitat conditions.
Skills:
A student acquires the skills to describe plants morphologically by being familiar with the morphology of leaves, pedicels, fruits and a flowers as well as the biology of blooming and fruiting. He/she is also able to determine the habitat conditions by the plant habit and use the plant identification guide.
Competences:
A student is aware of the necessity for continuous improvement of skills and is able to work in a team. A student understands and is familiar with the issues related to the plant environment and its protection.Prerequisites:

Forms of the organization of the plant organisms, the basis of organogenesis, organography, modification of vegetative organs, plant life forms, reproduction of different plant forms- sexual/asexual, development and structure of generative organs in vascular plants, biology of pollination and different ways of dispersing diaspores, seeds bank. Morphology of pedicels, morphology and modification of leaves, flowers, inflorescences and fruits- work based on fresh and dried material.Recommended literature:

Evaluation of an analysis and interpretation of collected data, evaluation of an oral presentation.
Social competence:
The completion of the course will enable a student to identify plants by their morphological features and to classify them into a proper habitat. Evaluation of the correct choice of information, copyright adherence, appropriate interpretation of data in accordance with the environment protection.
