Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student defines the basic concepts in biochemistry recognizes the basic biomolecules associated with the relevant main metabolic pathways explains the relationships between major metabolic pathways Skills: Student combines the basic biomolecules with the relevant metabolic pathways examines the relationships between the major biochemical pathways uses basic biochemistry laboratory techniques
Competences: Student has entrusted the responsibility for laboratory equipment is aware of the importance of compliance with safety rules in a biochemical laboratory
Prerequisites: organic chemistry
Course content: Basicchemical constituents ofliving organisms,obtaining andstoringof metabolic energy,metabolism of carbohydrates, fatty acids and amino acids.
