Knowledge:
Students know general issues concerning the environment and how it can be endangered. They are able to recognize potential risks to the environment and how to prevent them.
Students know the strategy of balanced resource management in the context of sustainable development and energy and natural resources security.
Student know methods to quantify antropogenic impact on the environment and also understand the legal aspects and methods of reducing and / or removing the effects of anthropogenic pressure.
Skills:
Students design exploitation of natural resources, taking into account legal and environmental aspects.
Students examine the economic and environmental aspects associated with the use of mining wastes. They are able to prepare a project how to recultivate mining areas. They also examine the social aspects of the natural resource use and reclamation and development of mining areas.

Legal content associated with the operation and management of natural resources. Basic concepts of natural resources and their classification. The problems associated with the exploitation of natural resources (economic, environmental and social) exploration and documentation of the deposit, the economic viability criteria, the strategy of exploitation, remediation of environmental risks, public consultation, how to end the exploitation, storage of waste and forms of their remediation.Recommended literature:

Knolwedge: tests based on information presented in lectures and workshops, the evaluation of obligatory projects
