After completing the course the student knows the physical processes occurring in Earth's atmosphere and in its contact with the surface. This gives him the knowledge on the components of the heat and water balances, causes of wind occurrences, global warming, the causes of climate change and the local climate conditions. He gets to know the solar energy conversion reaching the Earth. He knows the possibilities of obtaining solar and wind energy basing on actual and archive meteorological observations. He knows the main features of the climate of Europe and Poland.
After completing the course student is familiar with the basic principles of measurement methods and interpretation of weather and climate. Student knows how to determine the suitability of meteorological data to assess different phenomenon in the natural environment. He is able to evaluate and interpret the relationship between meteorological data and phenological phases of the energy crops in practice.
Competences:
-Prerequisites:
