Knowledge: acquires knowledge about the relationship between application of innovative techniques and technologies for horticultural production and obtaining products of proper quality. Knows technical and technological determinants of applying innovative solutions to technical means for horticultural production, acquires knowledge in polyoptimisation methods of evaluation and selection of innovative techniques and technologies depending on the conditions for production process completion in a horticultural farm. (O1 – W07, O1 – W14, O1– W17; O1–W18)
Skills: evaluates innovativeness of technical and technological solutions in horticultural production by using polyoptimisation methods. Acquires an ability to select and plan the use of an innovative technique and technology for horticultural production for the purpose of obtaining optimum production results and high quality of the final product. (O1 –U06; O1 – U09; O1 – U10; O1–U14)
Competences:
is aware of the importance of additional training and self-improvement in new technologies in horticulture, evaluates the relationship between applying innovative techniques and technologies in the horticultural production processes and achieving optimum effectiveness and quality of production and is aware of the responsibility for decisions made. Basics of computer science Course content:
Innovative techniques and technologies for horticultural production, methods for evaluation of innovativeness, methods for selecting optimum machines and technologies for horticultural production, designing optimum solutions of the production process in horticulture, assessing effectiveness in application of innovative solutions.Recommended literature:
Content of lectures is available for students on CDs. Assessment methods:
Assessment of educational outcomes in terms of knowledge: written exam.
Assessment of educational outcomes in terms of abilities: ability to apply methods of evaluation and selection of innovative techniques and technologies for horticultural production processes.
Assessment of educational outcomes in terms of social competence: individual work and group work, discussion in class on the effects possible to achieve as a result of using such innovative techniques and technologies in horticultural production processes. Obligatory credits for classes based on current completion of project works and in a written form after semester 5. Minimum knowledge to obtain credit – 65.
