Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student: W1 - understand the physiological basis for the functioning of the human body at every level of the organization [BC1_W05]; W2 - knows the basic physiological processes occurring in all organs of the human body [BC1_W07, BC1_W08]; W3 - explains the relationship between the structure and function of human organs [BC1_W07]; Skills Student: U1 - can measure using appropriate instruments basic functional parameters of selected organs of the human body [BC1_U02, BC1_U12]; U2 - interprets the results of basic physiological research [BC1_U12];
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes) Student: K1 - is conscious of physiological disorders effects of health risks [BC1_K06]; K2- planning research tasks adapt to the research instruments [BC1_K03];
Prerequisites:
Course content: cell electrophysiology, determinants of homeostasis, mechanisms of functioning of the human body - muscle contraction, central and peripheral functions of the nervous system, perception, internal secretion, cardiac function and blood circulation, digestion, respiration, excretion, reproduction

Assessment methods: Lecture written examination - valid written test (30 closed questions). Assessment takes 60 minutes. Knowledge to pass 60%. Classes assesment: One written tests to evaluate. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. In the case of unjustified absences the student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Attested credit of tutorials based on the average ratings.
