Knowledge: Students acquire knowledge of modern principles of waste management and basic administrative procedures in accordance with applicable law, knows the characteristics of the main groups of waste, knows the various participants in the waste management system, knows the most important technology of disposal / recycling, knows the current problems of waste in Poland, knows the environmental and economical aspects of waste management in Poland.
Skills: Students are able to define the source of the waste and able to define the environmental threats caused by the waste, is able to properly classify participants of the waste management system, is able to identify the most appropriate methods to reduce waste production.
Competences:
Personal and social competence: The individuals are able to independent and critical assessment of the problems connected with classification, management, disposal and recycling of waste. Students can participate in discussions connected with this issues, using proper terminology and correct ways of arguing.Prerequisites:

The definition and the most important source of waste; Criteria and ways of classifying waste in Poland and in the EU; Municipal waste in Poland: properties, ways of utilization, predicting the amounts; Strategies for waste reduction; The main methods of waste disposal; Waste management in Poland; Legal aspects of waste management in Poland; The economics of waste management.Recommended literature:

Knowledge: passing exams contents of lectures and evaluation of tests
