Learning outcomes: KNOWLEDGE: 1) Student knows contemporary theories of socio-economic growth. 2) Student have deepened knowledge of state’s impact on economy. 3) Student have a knowledge of fiscal policy and its impact on economic cycle. 4) Student have deepened knowledge of institutions creating fiscal policy and monetary policy nationally and internationally. SKILLS: 1) Student can evaluate goals and instruments of macroeconomic policy and point out socio-economic consequences of their application. 2) Student can explain economic processes in financial sector.
Competences: SOCIAL COMPETENCES: 1) Student can value necessity of permanent need to deepen his knowledge of macroeconomic policy. 2) Student is able to work in group and analyze goals and instruments of macroeconomic policy.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics and mathematics
Course content: Institutionalization concept of D. North. Washington consensus. Neoliberalism. Sustainable development concept. Strategies of growth. Deposit money. Influence of central bank on a money supply. Taylor’s rule. Equilibrium rate. Goals and methods of intervention on foreign exchange market. Impact of globalization on foreign exchange. Carry trade. Coordination of fiscal policy and monetary policy in economic and monetary union. Stability and growth pact. Public debt management.
