Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Knows basic of technical conditions related to the construction of building and sanitary installations. Knows the most important parameters associated with the chosen installations. Knows basis of functioning and designing building and sanitary installations. Knows the rules of selection and arrangement of sanitary devices. Skills: He can determine the demand of water and heat as well as calculate the amount of wastewater and air for ventilation in buildings. Knows how to put the computable and design techniques into the practice. Is able to offer basic technical procedures relating to the proper functioning of sanitary devices. Knows how to use of standards and regulations in the design and construction of building installations.
Competences: Understands the need of updating their knowledge and improving professional competence. Knows the impact of proper functioning of building and sanitary installations on people work and leisure. Is aware of the necessity of balanced development in civil engineering - saving water and energy.
Prerequisites: Mathematics, physics , chemistry, hydraulics, technical drawing and building physics.
Course content: Heat exchange, microclimate of choosen spaces in a building, the heat balance of the building, heating agents, types of heating systems. Design, construction and operation of water, heating, sewage, stormwater, ventilation and gas installations. Materials and fittings used for installations in buildings. Boilers, boiler rooms, chimney systems. Alternative energy sources used for heating of buildings and domestic hot water systems. Basis of design electrical installations in buildings.
