Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Knows theeconomic conditions of runningconstructionactivitiesin variousorganizational and legalforms, understandsthe natureand methods of calculation thecosts andearningsof works, has knowledge ofcostingin construction;knows thetendering processesand othermodes ofpublic procurement; understands themethod of calculating theeconomic efficiencyof investmentprojectsin construction. Skills: Can describe and present the advantages and disadvantages of building activity in various organizational and legal forms, is able to determine in terms of material and financial components that make up a company’s assets, can classify costsof construction according to various criteria, is able to determine the value of the factors involved in the cost calculation, knows how to make the right choice of order in a public works contract, is able to define the factors that make up the economic efficiency of investment projects in building.
Competences: Shows understanding of the impact and the importance of economic factors on shaping and improving the effectiveness of management in the construction industry, is aware of the need to rationalize the costs of building production and their impact on the final result of business.
Prerequisites: Basic economics, mathematics, law
Course content: Delivering capacityin the construction industry(organizational and legal forms).Fixed and current assetsof a company (balance sheet and material recognition). Balanceand its interpretation.The production costs ofconstruction(rules of creating and accounting). Standardizationandcostingin construction.Methodsfor calculating the priceestimateof objects andworks.Procurement andtenderingfor construction works -the Law onPublic Procurement.Practical aspects ofpreparing a bidfor theconstruction works.Simple anddiscountmethodsof investment projects economic efficiency evaluation.
