The student has a general knowledge of using mechatronics systems in Safety Engineering
The student understands the need for using mechatronics systems in place of other technologies used so far
The student has basic knowledge of constructing and analysing mechatronics systems.
The student can use in practice the knowledge of mechanics, electronics and IT technologies to make projects of complex mechatronics systems
The student knows the rules of safe operation of devices and mechatronics systems. He knows the impact of construction and design for the safety of equipment and service.

Being supervised, the student can perform simple research and design tasks, develop results and draw conclusions.
The student can use standards of engineering work to solve production and operational problems
The student can choose the best technical solution to accomplish a certain engineering task
The student can prepare a design conception of the engineering task. He can prepare text with discussion of expected work results for mechatronics system which was designed.

Definition of mechatronics. System approach in designing of devices and mechatronics systems. Devices and mechatronics systems – examples. Importance of mechatronics. Basis definitions in the field of mechatronics. The role of synergy in mechatronics. Basis of designing of mechatronics systems. Interdisciplinarity and integration in designing of mechatronics systems. Analysis and synthesis of mechatronics constructions. Modelling of mechatronics systems.Recommended literature:
