Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student has general knowledge about organizing recreation and horse tourism, student should be able define capabilities of adaptation of existing objects for this type of activity, with taking into consideration countryside and suburban environment. Skills: student know about organizing riding recreation and tourism,making social and technical background, selection of riding equipment and horses, cooperating with other centers, estimate the environment; student knows, how to compose business – plan and organize succesfull promotional action; should be able to explain benefits from cooperation between farms.

Competences: Student takes care of safety of work ; student has ability of communication with clients, creativeness and openness on new proposals; studentn is responsible to animal welfare and principles of professional ethics.

Prerequisites: horse breeding

Course content: Organization of recreation and horse tourism – estimate of environmental condition, creation of touristic objects, organization of technical background, cooperation with other farms, marketing and advertising.

Assessment methods: Verification of skills and competences will be held in the riding center. The basis for the classification is the correct assessment of the horses behavior and their living conditions. Skills and competences will be addtionally checked on the basis of project of the recreation center. Competence will verify the written test, consisting of 6 open questions. To pass is required correct answer to four questions. The basis for passing class is positive grade for the excercises course. Knowledge will verify the written test, consisting of 6 open questions. To pass is required correct answer to four questions. Knowledge will be verified based on the SWOT analysis and business plan for the center. Attendance at school is obligatory, tolerated is only 1 unexcused absence. Absences (up to 3) are classified on the basis of a written development of missing classes.
