Learning outcomes: Students acquire practical skills about mechanical engineering, head treatment and chemical treatment of metals
Competences: Students are prepared for the practical application of proper methods and parameters used in the metalworking
Prerequisites: Machine Elements, Materials Technology
Course content: The students take part in manual training in industrial plants, which are equipped with machine-shop. Training includes the basic heat treatment and mechanical working of the metals

Assessment methods: Minimum knowledge for credit–60%; Influence on the assess - assessment practices in the diary entries – 40% and oral exam – 60%
Comment: A four week summer practice made in the factories
