Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student W01 - Describes the clinical condition of the horses, especially the state of the legs. W02 - Uses prevention programs specific horses, taking into account their age and physiological status. W03 - characterized by changes in blood physiological indicators of horses, depending on the state of health and training status. W04 - U06 - Works with your veterinarian and nutritional advisor . W05 - know the principles of first aid in case of accidents and care in the neonatal foal. Skills: Student U01 - Uses diagnostic and preventive programs used in horse husbandry. U01 - Demonstrates skills in the use of programs for the control of parasitic diseases. U03 - Assesses the health status of newborn foals and knows the rules of care for premature foal. U04 - Assesses the suitability of brood mares and a stallion and breeding plans independently routed. U05 - Carry out the transport of horses in accordance with the legal requirements.
Competences: Student K01 -Shows the need for professional qualifications. K02 - Is aware of the responsibility for tasks performed in a team and able to manage a team. K03 - Is open to new ideas in the field of exercise physiology and nutrition horses .
Prerequisites: Horses husbandry
Course content: Husbandry conditions in studs, outside run, course and rangeland, the most common infectious, not infectious and invasion diseases and also the methods of their prevention i.e. program of vaccination, low regulations relative infectious diseases, transport in Poland and transport inn EU. Topics related to reproduction: heat and possibilities of heat manipulation, fertilization, pregnancy and parturition, care of foal during the postnatal period.
