Knowledge:
- Student describes and explains morphology and functions of particulars structures of animal’s organism: cells, tissues, organs and systems (reproductive system)
-describes, explains and interprets organ’s and system’s pathologies
-describes basics of breeding programs and methods of selection for reproduction
Practical skills:
-effectively communicates with client, other veterinarians and representatives of government and municipal administration
-takes history to get information about particular animal or herd and their environment
-chooses and applies suitable treatment
Competences:
- Student puts patients welfare first
-has ability to act in conditions of hesitance and under stress
-Is able to organize work team
Prerequisites:
Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Physiopathology, Anatomy and Pathological Anatomy.Course content:
Endogenous and exogenous disturbances of fertility in domestic males. Methods of semen collection and examination, preservation of semen at lov temperatures. Methods of artificial insemination in cows, mares, pigs, sheep, goats, does, dogs and deer. Recommended literature:
