Course content: Introduction. The impact of buildings with the surrounding space. Standards and technical conditions. Modern architectural objects of different types - religious, public buildings of mixed use, commercial services buildings, entertainment and sports centers. Basic knowledge about construction. Classification according to type and dimensional coordination in civil engineering. Issues of design buildings at different scales and different purposes. Construction systems. General building technologies. Fundamentals of traditional building. Terrain, spatial, functional and aesthetically requirements for the buildings and structures. Issues of material science found in the design of buildings and structures. Underground and above-ground parts of the building. Building’s elements taking over usage load. Structural elements of traditional buildings. Construction safety issues. Types and forms of living quarters housing. Multi-stores apartment buildings. Deck roofs. Large span covers for buildings and structures. Elements of the facade and roof. Taking into account the environment in designing buildings and structures. Repetition.
