Skills: student - U1 - Analyzes the biological processes associated with livestock
U2 - Place assess the value of raw materials and products of animal origin and feed
U3 - has the ability to prepare written work typical of Polish and foreign language, which is considered essential for animal husbandry, on specific issues, using basic theoretical approaches, as well as various sources Competences:
Student: K1 - understands the need for learning throughout life
K2 - is aware of the risks and is able to assess the effects of the activity in the broadly understood agriculture and the environment
K3 - is aware of the need for education and self-improvement of animal husbandryPrerequisites:
Students starting classes in the basics of animal nutrition should know well the principles of chemistry (especially analytical) and is strongly recomended to completethe course of biochemistry.Course content:
During this series of lectures will discuss basic chemical compounds that build the plants, animals and organisms which feed ingredients determining the correct feeding. Will be taken into account both the construction chemical properties of individual chemical compounds and their place in the metabolism of animals, the role of the physiological and nutritional importance. Will discuss the effects of which cause a deficiency of these substances in the course of metabolic processes and translate these parameters production animals. The physiological mechanisms will be also responsible for the intake of feed and the physiological basis of each nutrient digestion by livestock. Discussion of mechanism of absorption of compounds resulting from the activities of digestive enzymes will be the subject of ending lectureRecommended literature:
