Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student: W1 - knows and understands the essence and meaning of individual quantitative and qualitative questionnaire surveys methods [BC1_W18, BC1_W20]; W2 - knows the principles of design and development of surveys [BC1_W03, BC1_W04]; W3 - knows what survey methods should be used to carry out specific research tasks [BC1_W18]. Skills Student: U1 - prepare proper project survey[BC1_U06; BC1_U12, BC1_U17]; U2 - apply in practice independently developed a research tool, and provides the results obtained[BC1_U03, BC1_U05, BC1_U13]; U3 - analyzes, interprets and uses the results of the survey in the life sciences[BC1_U03, BC1_U05];
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes) Student: K1 - in collaboration with a group undertakes activities related to the development, and especially the conduct and implementation of the survey [BC1_K02, BC1_K03, BC1_K09];

Course content: To familiarize students with the methods of questionnaire surveys and specificity of these studies in the biological sciences. To form the skills to design and conduct the survey. Acquaint students with the techniques of analyzing the results of surveys and their presentation.

Assessment methods: Final test 30 questions (45 min) with 60% credit. Completion of the course: The final gradeis the arithmetic mean of lectures and exercises. Assessment exercises: Assessment of based on test at the end of exercise, 10 open questions, duration 30 min. During the course will be assessed the participation and involvement while accomplish tasks (based on observation and work sheet). Will be evaluated the survey project and its realization. Attendance at exercises is compulsory; a student can have only one unjustified absence. Passing classes based on grade point average.
