Knowledge:
Student know the production, regulation of biosynthesis and application of microbial enzymes (amylases, cellulases, xylanases, proteinases, lipases) and some antibiotics (aminoglycosides, non-polien macrolides, polien macrolides, tetracyclines).
Skills: The student analyzes the biosynthesis process of enzymes involving micro-organisms-assesses the ability of micro-organisms for the production of antibiotics – decides on appropriate methods of breeding-selects the optimal conditions of these processes.
Competences:
The student demonstrates understanding of the synthesis processes of active metabolites in nature – is aware of their beneficial and harmful effects on living organisms.
