Knowledge:
The student has knowledge of setting up and business planning, operation and organization of small business and managing of its resources. He describes the organizational and legal forms of enterprises. The student indicates ways of financing business ventures and their taxation. He knows the rules for creating of the economic business plan (business plan), methods of analysis and evaluation of its efficiency, including the efficiency of investment. The student defines the concepts in the field of human resource management.
Skills: The student is able to correctly interpret and explain the processes and relationships associated with managing a small business, formulating their own opinions and propose solutions to these issues. He can individually create the concept of the business enterprise. He has the ability to select and evaluate organizational and legal forms of business, the method of taxation and its financing activities. The student has the ability to recruit and manage staff. He understands the need for learning throughout life and is able to inspire and organize the acquisition of knowledge by others. Starting economic activity (rules, concept, stages, formal and legal procedures). Organisational and legal forms of small firms. Financing business ventures. Business plan (structure, the creation, examples of business plans). Styles and methods of management. Taxes and fees in the business. Accounting firm. Taxation of income from business. Fixed and current assets management. Analysis of economic efficiency of the company (the break-even production, return on sales). The conomic balance of investment (time value of money, discounting expenditures). Leasing (types, disadvantages, advantages). Styles and techniques of negotiation. Patterns of official letters. The basic elements of a contract. The recruiting of employees (CV, cover letter, interview). Selected issues of ethics and etiquette in business.

The assessment based on the audit work done by the students and the prepared by the teams of students the business plan.Comment:
