Course content: GIS systems. The essence of digital maps. Objects vector maps. Databases in GIS applications. The collection, processing and dissemination of data in Poland. Characteristics of environmental resources for development planning documents. The use of databases and digital maps in the implementation of tasks of the governor. Collection and use of environmental data at regional and national level. The possibilities of using GIS databases in crisis management. Geoportals. The information system of the State Forests, Forest Map Numeric. Resources of surface and groundwater, GIS database and map hydrographic. Spatial systems of protected areas.
