Knowledge:
knows the basic social, economic and environmental determinants for water economy; knows the goals and strategic tasks in the field of developing water resources; knows the basic principles of governing water resources; possesses knowledge regarding the pro-ecological spatial management of a drainage basin; knows the scenarios and understands the consequences of global climate warming; knows the basic methods of protecting water resources from pollution;
Abilities:
knows how to evaluate the basic hydrological and hydrographical parameters of a drainage basin; prepares and analyses basic hydrometric data for a selected area; can prepare and analyse basic climatic and meteorological data; can propose the basic technical actions ensuring water protection;

Understands the need for the sustainable development and use of water resources for developmental processes; understands the non-economic importance of water for society.

The socio-economic and environmental determinants for water economy. The strategy of water economy. Protecting the aquatic environment in investment processes. The pro-ecological management of a drainage basin, the renaturalisation of rivers, wetlands, small retention, woodlots. The scenarios and consequences of global warming. The main climate features in Poland. Local climate and micro-climate. The resources and water needs in the economy. Principles of enclosing matter circulation through the soil environment and the aquatic environment. Project solutions – concept projects.Recommended literature:
