Learning outcomes: The student after completing the course should acquire skills in landscape architecture (i.e. garden and cultivated green areas design, common green space) including land configuration and land cover, vegetation (with sheets), garden furnishing and architecture, lightning and texturing, basic dimensioning and describing of drawings, 3d visualization, and design drawing layouts composing.
Competences: Ability to create design visualizations, manage and use of reference sources, methods and materials in accordance with the applicable scene creation rules.
Prerequisites: Preceding subjects: information technologies, computer-aided design.
Course content: Introduction to Vectorworks and BIM, and user interface. Software environment characteristic. User settings, navigation and user tools. Work with files and objects inside Vectorworks. Work with layers. Import of files from AutoCAD and additional software. Basics of modeling related to landscape architecture structures (shade structures, walls, terraces, benches, railings, stairs, etc.). Basic modifications of the 3d objects. Terrain modeling. Creating materials and textures. Lightning. Prepare layout with general and detailed plan drawings. Rendering setups for landscape exteriors in Renderworks.

Assessment methods: pass classes, final examination
Comment: Student use their devices in the classroom and English version of Vectorworks software (Students version avaible on line free of charge).
