Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - describes in detail the species of contemporary Primates [BC1_W12]; W2 -explains the methods of adaptation Primates to the environment [BC1_W06, BC1_W07]; W3 – knows the anatomy and morphological differentiation of the living primates [BC1_W06, BC1_W12]; Skills: Student: U1 – recognizes the different species of Primates based on the details of the anatomy [BC1_U10]; U2 – performs laboratory research tasks of comparative anatomy skeletons of modern species Primates [BC1_U05, BC1_U06].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 – planning research tasks adjusted to the conditions, their equipment and capabilities [BC1_K03];

Prerequisites: zoology, anthropology

Course content: essentials characterization of Primates and selected groups of Haplorhini and Strepsirhini; issues concerning Primates observed in patterns of behavior and evolutionary adaptation, biological and cultural features of human against the background of primates.

Assessment methods: Exam - valid written test (40 closed questions). The examination test takes 80 minutes. Knowledge to pass 60%. If the exam is not passed in the first time, student has the right to pass it (in writing or oral) in the second period.
