During the course students will be taught about the atomic structure and will be able to correlate the physical and chemical properties of elements with electronic structures of atoms. After the course they will be familiar with different kinds of chemical bonds. The knowledge concerning the different type of reactions and their kinetics will be also delivered. The students will be also familiar with the basis of electrochemistry.Competences:
On the completions of the course the students will be able to carry out the quantitative analysis of ions, acids, bases and will be able to do calculations concerning these analysis. They can also determine the pH of solutions and other media.

Atom structure, chemical bonds, solutions, equilibria in solutions, chemical reactions, kinetic of reactions, enthalpy of the reactions, oxidation and reduction, electrochemistry, systematic and properties of inorganic compounds, qualitative and quantitative analyses, chemical calculations.
