Knowledge:
student has advanced knowledge of the structures of the nervous system in humans and animals and related physiological functions; student has knowledge of the cellular and neurophysiological mechanisms of the neural system, as well as neuroimmunological and neuroendocranial regulations; student understands what is the meaning of the neuroimaging methods and neurophysiology experimental tools; student knows the scientific concepts of neuroscience, basic brain disease and mental disorder, knows the kinds of therapies, and methodology of clinical trials and preclinical trials; student indicates the possibility of practical use of knowledge in real life.
Skills:
student properly conducts biological observations, interprets and discusses the results and draw appropriate conclusions, using scientific terminology; student observes effects of physiological processes in the body of humans and animals, explains the relationship between physiological functions, cognitive and psychiatric occurring in the central nervous system; student correctly performs and interprets modern diagnostic techniques, using a biomedical apparatus and techniques used in experimental neurophysiology; student on the basis of professional literature, formulates arguments regarding neurobiological knowledge, methods of assessment and classification of the physiological state of the nervous system, discusses the possibilities of a solution of current problems; student has the ability to prepare reports, project work, papers and other written assignments and presentations related to the subject object.

Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors):
student shows interest in updating the knowledge of neuroscience and related disciplines; understands the need for research into the neurophysiology in humans and animals; student is able to schedule a task, adapting them to the test conditions, test equipment owned and potential capacity to perform certain procedures; student is sensitive to nature as a set of cognitive and educational value, and is aware of the importance of neurobiological knowledge, including research in neurophysiology; student is aware of the risks to humans and animals resulting from pathology of the nervous system, including diseases of the central nervous system, recognizes the need to conduct neurophysiological research; student has ethical attitudes towards animals.

Anatomical and physiological structure of the nervous system in humans and animals. Cellular and systemic neurophysiology, basic issues of neuroimmunology and neuroendocrinology, cognitive function and psychological techniques and methods of neuroimaging, disease and prevention of brain disorders and their treatment, the basic techniques of experimental neurophysiology.Recommended literature:

Assessment methods:
Pass classes: periodic written test to assess the current rating (based on oral statements) progress and activity. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. In the case of excused absences the student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Completion of exercises based on the average ratings.
Completion of the course: students with valid completion of practical written examination in the examination session. Comment:
