During the course students acquire a knowledge of vertebrates anatomy (also human). They learn about skeletal osteology of different vertebrates representatives and also splanchnology of select organ systems. Students have possibility to know independently about diversity anatomical preparations, they are able to point out the main resemblances and differences between different groups of vertebratesCompetences:
Passing the course permits working as a teacher in school or preparator as well as conducting studies of vertebrate anatomyPrerequisites:
Vertebrate zoology with systematic elementsCourse content:
Skeletal osteology (cranial skeleton, axial skeleton, appendicular skeleton) and splanchnology of different organ systems (digestive system, respiratory system, circulatory system, excretory system, reproductive system and nervous system) in representatives all groups of vertebrates (also human). Additionally some aspects of integumentary system are discussed.Recommended literature:
