Lectures, laboratory and practical excersises allow students get the knowledge of soil as the main component of environment and the basis of plant production. After finishing the course student are able to make the basis laboratory analysis and perform the soil classification maps.
Competences:
Student after finishing the course can work in environmental protection offices, in agricultural chemistry laboratories and classification and cartography offices.

Students get the knowledge on genesis, structure and properties of soils, their environmental and utilitarian classification. The course contain also problems of soils fertility and their protection, elements of soil cartography, including world soil resources.Recommended literature:
