PolishLearning outcomes:
Student will be able to recognize and classify main communities of plants typical for agricultural fields. Students will learn on changes in agroecosystems (reversible and irreversible) being a result of human activity and used means of production.Competences:
Student will be able to assess given agroecosystem as biodiversity is concerned and show fitoindicators of environmental conditions and processes. This knowledge helps him to manage agricultural landscape, protect of the agricultural environment, and to use natural processes in agroecosystem for crop production.Prerequisites:
botany, ecologyCourse content:
Characteristics of agroecosystems compared to natural ecosystems, qualitative and quantitative traits of agrophyotobiocoenosis, interactions between crops and companion vegetation, indicator species (phytoindication), interactions between components of agroecoenosis, biodiversity of mixed cropping, dominant weed species on agricultural fields in Poland, soil weed seed bank and its role in agrocoenosis, weed resistance to herbicides and changes in agrophytocoenosis.Recommended literature:
