Student will posses the basic theoretical and practical knowledge of protection plants. Presented information enabled become acquainted with diversity of orchids, taxonomy of orchids, phytogeography, use of orchids in the human-keeping.Competences:
After completing the course student will be to able work in the botanical garden and will expend one`s knowledge minds of tropical vegetation.Prerequisites:
Morphology of PlantsCourse content:
Taxonomy of Orchidaceae, species ecology (terrestrial orchids, epiphyte), distribution on the world; biology of orchids: insect pollination, structure of polinia; mycorhiza; development of plants; fruit-setting, structure of seeds.
