Learning outcomes: Students acquire the knowledge in a range of extensive and semi-intensive husbandry of different species of domestic birds. They learn about the rules of breeding and the specificity of domestic birds reproduction. They familiarize with construction and equipment of buildings for domestic birds.
Competences:
Prerequisites: animal physiology, poultry breeding
Course content: Significance of backyard poultry keeping, basic species and breeds of poultry kept in extensive and semi-intensive husbandry, rules of maintenance of particular species of domestic birds, buildings and their equipment, yards.
